How much maintenance does WPC cladding need?
Practically none - an occasional wash. No polishing, no painting, no termite treatment, which is exactly why it replaces natural wood outdoors.
Can cladding be used on balconies and gates?
Yes - balconies, gate skins, facade highlights, garden walls and even ceiling soffits outdoors are all common applications.
How does exterior cladding hold up through a Kolkata monsoon?
That is exactly what these systems are engineered for. WPC and polymer cladding do not absorb water the way timber does, so they neither swell nor rot, and UV-stable formulations resist the fading that destroys cheaper products within a couple of seasons.
WPC or polymer cladding — which is right for my facade?
WoodClad WPC gives the closest read to natural timber and suits residential facades and balconies. AluClad polymer systems are lighter, extremely stable and often preferred on larger commercial elevations. Orientation, height and exposure decide it — send us the elevation.
Does exterior cladding need maintenance?
Far less than timber, which is most of the point. Periodic washing to clear dust and pollution film keeps the surface reading correctly. There is no annual sanding, oiling or repainting cycle.
Can cladding be installed over an existing wall?
Usually yes, provided the substrate is sound and a proper support framework can be fixed to it. A ventilated cavity behind the cladding is good practice in a humid climate — it lets the wall breathe instead of trapping moisture against it.
