Frequently Asked Questions

How many designs does PROVO actually stock?

Over 1,000 surface and material designs across nine ranges. Where most dealers carry a handful of standard options, our catalogue is deep enough that architects can specify an entire residence or commercial project from a single source.

Can I take samples home before deciding?

Samples are the whole point of visiting a showroom — a veneer that looks perfect under showroom lighting can read completely differently in your living room at 6 PM. Ask our team about taking samples for the finishes on your shortlist.

What is the difference between veneer, laminate and acrylic?

Veneer is real wood — natural grain, warm, re-polishable. Laminate is a printed, sealed decorative surface — durable, uniform, low maintenance. Acrylic is a high-gloss polymer surface with exceptional depth of colour and reflectivity, which is why it dominates premium kitchen and wardrobe shutters. Veneer for character, laminate for hard use, acrylic for gloss.

Which plywood should I use for a kitchen in Kolkata?

For kitchens and any wet area, BWP or marine-grade plywood is the right specification — the glue line is boiling-water-proof, which is what actually matters when a sink cabinet gets wet repeatedly over years. Commercial-grade ply is fine for wardrobes and dry-area furniture.

How do I maintain these surfaces?

Almost all of them need nothing more than a soft damp cloth. Laminates and acrylics wipe clean instantly. Veneers benefit from avoiding standing water and harsh solvents, and — because they are real wood — can be lightly sanded and re-polished years later to look new again.

Do you offer trade pricing for architects and designers?

We work with design professionals continuously and structure commercial terms around project volume and repeat specification. Speak to our team about terms for your practice.

Can PROVO source something that is not in the catalogue?

Usually, yes. Backed by the 30-year sourcing depth of the Vivre Panels group, we regularly source specific species, finishes and imported materials that are not on the showroom floor. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can get it.

How long does it take to get materials once I order?

Anything held on the showroom floor moves quickly; sourced species, imported finishes and made-to-order items run on supplier timelines. We give you a realistic date at the time of order rather than an optimistic one, and you can follow progress on our order tracking page.

Can't find what you're looking for? Our team can source it.
